What is a Kestrel?

The name "Kestrel" is given to several different members of the Falcon genus "Falco". Smallest among the falcon family, the American Kestrel is indigenous to my home state of North Carolina and is sometimes called a "windhover". Like a drone, a Kestrel can hover in air, has tremendous eyesight and can even detect ultraviolet light to locate prey. The only thing the Kestrel lacks is the ability to record still images and video. That's my task.
